iMac Internet Setup Assistant

To access the Internet Setup Assistant go to:
Apple menu : Internet Access : Internet Setup Assistant
launching this will bring up the following questions:

Would you like to set up you iMac to access the Internet? Click Yes
Do you already have and Internet account? Click Yes

1. You will the be taken to an introduction screen which gives you a brief description of the information needed. In the bottom right had corner is and arrow pointing to the right, select this to proceed. There is also an arrow pointing to the left, this can be used to go back at any time if you make a mistake.

On the next screen you are asked to name this configuration, and whether you will be using a modem or network to access the Internet. Type in Meganet as the name of the configuration.

The modem setup screen will be related to the specific machine. The defaults of:
Modem: iMac Internal 56k and Port: Internet Modem
should comply with most.

2. On step 4 of the Internet Setup Assistant, you will be asked for the phone number to call for access. This can be obtained from our website here. The name you use with the service is the username you picked when you signed up, along with the 3rd question what is your password? that is the password you selected during the signup.

Select No on the PPP Connection Scripts

Select No on the IP address

 

3. On this step of the Internet Setup Assistant, please type in the DNS addresses as they appear, and the domain name as it appears.

 

4. On this step it will be setting up the email, its asking for your email address, and password, both are those are assigned by the user during the signup.

 

5. This will be setting up the incoming and outgoing mail servers, type exactly what you see here in the fields.
