Managed Firewalls-

A true firewall allows bi-directional (incoming/outgoing) network packet filtering and should be part of comprehensive security policy developed in association with company management and IT personnel. Final configurations take into consideration, the various operating systems in use and the types of access required to and from the LAN, locking down any unnecessary access ports and restricting access to "allowed" ports as much as possible.
